How the CFL standings 2026 are ranked
The CFL standings 2026 rank teams by points, two for a win and one for a tie. Records read wins, losses and ties, and PTS is the number that matters.
The West Division has five teams and the East Division has four, and each is its own table. The full table ranks all nine for comparison. GB is games behind the division leader.
| Teams | 9: five in the West Division, four in the East |
|---|---|
| Regular season | 18 games per team, June to late October |
| Points | 2 for a win, 1 for a tie; ties are real, with two possessions each in overtime |
| Playoffs | 6 teams: top three per division, with the crossover rule; first place gets a bye to the Division Final |
| Grey Cup | November, between the West and East champions |
CFL playoff format and the crossover rule
Three teams per division qualify. First place skips the Division Semi-Final and hosts the Division Final. Second hosts third in the Semi-Final, and the winner travels to first place.
The two division champions meet in the Grey Cup. The crossover rule sends a fourth-placed team into the other division’s playoffs when it has more points than that division’s third-placed team. The CFL playoff picture page has the live bracket and crossover watch.
CFL tiebreakers in brief
Teams level on points are split by wins first. Then come head-to-head wins, head-to-head net points, net points in all games, points scored, net offensive touchdowns and points allowed. Every current tie and how it breaks is on the CFL tiebreakers page.
This page is the CFL standings today. It refreshes after every final through the last regular-season game and into the playoffs.
