How division seeding works
This view shows how the playoff field would look if the season ended today. The top three in each division qualify: first place skips the Division Semi-Final and hosts the Division Final, second hosts third. Under the crossover rule a fourth-place team with more points than the other division's third-place team takes that spot and plays in the other division.

What is the CFL crossover rule?
If the fourth-place team in one division has more points than the third-place team in the other, it crosses over and takes that third playoff spot, playing the semi-final in the other division. A tie on points stays with the home division.
What does the dashed line mean?
It is the playoff cutoff after seed 3. Teams above it are in today; teams below are chasing, with games back measured against the No. 3 seed.
