Why Week 4 Matters

Four games is close to a quarter of the 17-game season. Most teams that start 4-0 reach the playoffs. Only one 0-4 team in NFL history, the 1992 San Diego Chargers, recovered to make the postseason.

From here, division records and head-to-head results start to decide places, because they are the first steps in the NFL tiebreaker procedure.
